About Exam :

The Exam will be Conducted in Different stages. So the Date of Examination will be announce on the Official website. More Details will be as follows.

A selection process including various stages like physical test, trade test and written test etc. So, they must have the proper knowledge of tests which they will have to face at each different stages. There is more and more competition increasing day by day, its become challenging as hard nut to crack. Height Bar Test & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Description Height Male Chest
All other States and Union Territories (except category mentioned below) 170 80-85
For candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the State of Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh and Ladakh regions of Jammu & Kashmir. 165 78-83
Candidates hailing from North-Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. 162.5 cms 77-82 cms
All candidates belonging to the Scheduled-Tribes hailing from the North- Eastern States as above and the Left Wing Extremism affected districts. 160 cms 76-81 cms

Weight – Corresponding to height and age as per medical standard.

No marks will be awarded for this test and it will be only qualifying in nature.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

The candidates, who qualify PET will be screened for the Height, Chest (Chest measurement for male candidate only) and Weight measurements. Those who do not meet the required physical measurements as applicable will be eliminated at this stage.

WRITTEN EXAMINATION

Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern is as Follows :-

  • The written test will be conducted on OMR basis.
  • The Exam will be of 100 Marks/ Questions.
  • The Exam will be of 02 Hour Time Duration.
  • The question paper will be set bilingually in Hindi and English.
  • The questions for written test to the post of Head Constable (Motor Mechanic) shall be of 12th standard and the questions for written test to the post of Constable (Motor Mechanic) shall be of 10th standard.
  • Written examination will consist of the following four parts:-

 Total 100 Marks/ Questions

Note : No information About the Negative Marking is Provided in the Advertisement so All the Candidates should Check the Instruction in the Question Paper.

Exam Syllabus : The Syllabus of written test is as given below :-

Mathematics : The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

General Knowledge : History, Geography and Socio Economic development of India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History (From 1857 onwards) of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.

English : Verb, preposition, adverb, subject verb agreement, Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, sentences rearrangement, fill in the blanks with articles etc., comprehension, answering questions based on unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary & grammar, Proficiency in the language.

HINDI : वर्तनी की सामान्य अशुद्धियाँ तथा शब्दों  के शब्द  रूप, शब्दों के स्त्रीलिंग, बहुवचन, किसी वाक्य को अन्य लिंग में परिवर्तन, मुहावरा व उनका अर्थ, अशुद्ध वाक्यों के शुद्ध रूप, विलोमार्थी शब्द, समानार्थी व पर्यायवाची शब्द, अनेक शब्दों के लिए एक शब्द, कहावतें व लोकोक्तियां के अर्थ, संधि विच्छेद, क्रिया से भाववाचक संज्ञा बनाना, रचना एवं रचयिता इत्यादि|

Trade related theory : Mainly Focus on the topics Which is related to the Trade.

PRACTICAL (SKILL) TEST

The candidates who qualify the written test will be put through a Skill Test. Skill test is divided into following parts : Total marks 50

Use of hand signals and electric signals,

emergency stops, precautions & safety.

Vehicle reversing, Garaging on & off side and taking out vehicle from different restrictions,

turning of vehicle left, right and stopping etc.

Show courtesy and consideration for the safe and convenience of other road users, such as pedestrians, drivers and other motor vehicles or

cyclist.

Knowledge about mandatory, warning and informatory road signs.

Knowledge about driver’s duty in case of

accident.

Knowledge about motor mechanism (candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle).

Minimum Qualifying marks (For Written & Practical test) : Qualifying marks shall be 35% for General Candidates & Ex-Servicemen and 33% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes /Other Backward Class in the written examination.
