CTET Revised Educational Qualification for Primary Classes

The candidates those who passed B.Ed qualification and already appliedfor Paper–II as per the eligibility and have already paid necessary fee asspecified may also apply now under the amendment for both the papersviz Paper-I and Paper-II. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi will conduct 11th Edition  of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII. It should be noted that 11th Edition of CTET will conduct Soon.

About TET:-

The one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that he/ she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.

E L I G I B I L I T Y

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in final  year  of two  year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduation with at least 50%marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

APPLICATION FEES :-

Service Charges & Service Taxes (as applicable) will be charged extra by the Bank.

Category	Only Paper–I or II	For Both Papers I and II
General/ OBC	Rs. 700/-	Rs. 1,200/-
SC/ ST/ Diff. Abled Person	Rs. 350/-	Rs. 600/-

The fee can be remitted in the following ways:
► Through Challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or HDFC Bank in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
► By Debit/Credit Card.

HOW TO APPLY :

Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ through CTET website (www.ctet.nic.in). The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form and upload their scanned images of photograph & signature. After successful submission of data, Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation Page for record and keep it for their reference. The Confirmation Page is not required to be sent to CTET Unit.
